Week of April 8th

Welcome Back!

This week in:

Language Arts–   Distinguish literal from non-literal language using proverbs from Ben Franklin.

Writing– Edit and revise writing of a narrative story based on facts from the two astronaut articles and internet research. Our focus will be on using sensory and figurative language, and using dialogue.

Math– Continue our unit on fractions.  Chapter 8 in GoMath.     ***Quiz on Thursday***

Science- Learn about the difference between weather and climate, and the tools used to track and predict the weather.

Question to ask your child: “What is the difference between climate and weather?” (Weather is the current condition of our atmosphere, while climate describes our normal weather pattern over a period of time, ie. “seasons”.)
