Tuesday, February 28 LAST DAY of Yearbook pre-sales $36.00. All orders must be place online.  THE SCHOOL CODE IS 63612.

Wednesday, March 1 starting at 7:30 am is Registration for the 2017-2018 school year begins for Kinders who will turn 5 years old on or before September 1 and for new registrations in all other grades.

This week in:

Language Arts–  Continue working with “Compare and Contrast” reading and writing. Review Trickster Tales to prepare for student writing.  Continue working on the Close Reading strategy and text dependent questions using various KidBiz Articles and works of fiction.

No Spelling Words this week.

Achieve homework “Farming Makes a Comeback”. Students are to type their Thought Question response, print it and glue or staple it into their KidBiz Journals.

Social Studies- Continue learning about the U.S. Government: Rules and Laws, and the U.S. Constitution

Writing–  Finish writing an Opinion essay on Astronauts, “Why do you think it would be hard to be an astronaut?” Students will continue using two articles to support their reasoning.

Math– Chapter 9: Comparing Fractions. Work on lessons 9.5, 9.6, and 9.7. Chapter 9 test has been postponed till this Thursday. Students may log on to Think Central to practice current lessons by clicking on “Interactive Student Edition”. The Go Math!/ Think Central web page link is on the right of this page. “Step by Step” help is available during the Personal Math Trainer portion of the lesson. Lesson videos can be found within each lesson, or by going to “Math on the Spot Videos”.

A math homework sheet is coming home for students to practice what we are learning in class.
