Week of May 30th

This week in:

Language Arts– Trickster Tales/ Poetry. The students will finish working on their own Trickster Tales. All students will share their work with a reading buddy.

No Achieve Article is assigned for homework. Students can focus on their math.

Students should be reading their AR books for 20 minutes each night.  *Last couple of days for students to earn their AR points.

Writing– Narrative- Being out in nature

Math– Chapter 12: Geometry     Chapter test on Thursday

Students should log into Dreambox nightly for 15 minutes and complete at least one lesson per sitting. More than one is great!

Science- Exploring and Experimenting with “Forces and Motion” Unit

Upcoming Events

    • June 2nd – School Picnic/ Yearbook signings

Families can join their children for lunch on the grass field, at their regular lunch times.

    • June 3rd – Last day of school. 6th grade promotion at 9am.

This week in:

Language Arts– Trickster Tales/ Poetry. The students will continue working on their own Trickster Tales, a dedication page and Meet the Author paragraph. We will continue working on the books by cutting and pasting their words into them. Next, we will sketch illustrations to prepare for coloring in our artwork.

Achieve Article “What Will You Do This Summer” is assigned for homework. *No thought question this week for homework.

Writing– Narrative- Being out in nature

Math– Reviewing Chapter 10 test on Time, Length, Liquid Volume and Mass. Moving on to Chapter 12: Geometry
